Weekly emails
We wanted there to be moments of connectivity between sessions but also to give fair warning of upcoming sessions, formats, thinks to note and tips.
These were intended to be both logical and information rich but also to put students at ease, to reassure and reaffirm things we were saying in person. For example we observed in the first iteration that when you mention feedback or sharing their ideas they default to the more academic position of showing up with a presentations and a whole lot of nerves because they thinks it’s a formal scenario, and to us it was intended to be casual.
So this time for example we added in reminders of these details and clear descriptors such as this is not a formal presentation, no need to prepare a pdf.
Even very subtly considerations like providing the link to the classroom every week so that it is at the top of their inbox and they don’t have to scramble around trying to find it.
